I am a Licensed professional Clinical Counselor with over 20 years’ experience in the mental health field. I have worked in both residential and community mental health settings and have in practice at Schwieters Medical since 2011.
Human beings are resilient and resourceful. I carry this belief into my work with clients, viewing problems from a whole person, strengths-based approach. I work with people to develop healthy coping strategies and perspectives, and to recognize and utilize internal and external resources that build resilience. Therapy is a safe to explore barriers to life fulfillment, healthy relationships and work/life balance. I assist people in coping with major life changes, chronic pain or illness, and grief and loss. I specialize in the treatment of Stress and Trauma Disorders and have years of experience working with Depressive and Anxiety Disorders as well as addiction eating disorders.
In my leisure time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I am an avid animal lover and enjoy longs walks with my dogs. I love music, cooking, movies, singing, playing piano and practicing yoga and wellness activities.
I provide psychotherapeutic services for individuals, couples and groups. I have over 29 years of experience working in the mental health field, and the past 10 years as an LPCC. I have specialized training in trauma and stress disorders and years of experience working with issues such as depression, anxiety, work/life issues, coping with grief, loss and chronic pain as well as with addictive behaviors.
I have specialized training in the treatment of stress and trauma disorders.
I am trained as a Yoga Therapist and utilize yoga, meditation and mindfulness in addition to traditional talk therapy.
